Nintendo Switch is a revolutionary home console that not only connects to your TV, but also transforms into a portable gaming system thanks to its 6.2-inch capacitive multi-touch screen. For the first time, players can enjoy a complete home console experience anytime, anywhere.

This is the DNA of Nintendo Switch, a desktop console that can transform into a portable console with a simple gesture, allowing you to take the fun with you anytime, anywhere, and share it with friends and family. To do so, simply detach the two Joy-Con controllers from the grip and insert them into the screen inside the dock. After this simple operation, you have a portable console capable of playing games designed for a home console without any loss of quality.

Nintendo Switch offers a world of possibilities both in terms of gameplay and video game enjoyment. There are three different ways to enjoy the console.
TV Mode: The classic gaming mode in front of the TV
Tabletop Mode: The Nintendo Switch screen can be placed wherever you want, while the Joy-Con are used individually when detached from the console
Portable mode: by attaching the two Joy-Con to the console's screen, Nintendo Switch transforms into a true portable console capable of running games from a fixed console

Multiplayer and online services
With Nintendo Switch, staying connected with other players is easier than ever: up to eight consoles can wirelessly connect to each other locally. Players can place the console anywhere using its built-in stand, then share Joy-Con controllers to play together even away from the TV. The console will support multiplayer gaming via Wi-Fi. A new online subscription service will also be launched, free at launch. The service includes a smart device app, available in summer 2017, that will allow players to invite friends to play online, schedule play appointments, and chat while playing compatible games. A paid service will be available this fall.
